The Client
Our client, a leading provider of ecommerce solutions for hotels, provides a continuous flow of high-value online bookings to hotels worldwide. The intelligent hotel reservation system offers business intelligence, distribution, and digital agency solutions delivered with personal attention and local market expertise.
Business Need
In the worse economic conditions, our client needs their hotels to outperform in the markets. The client needs to make better business conditions, generate greater demand from the right mix of channels, and convert more shoppers to high-value guests and increase hotel revenue.
Challenges
- The hotel booking business is complex and there are many different roles of different interests involved in the system and interacting with each other.
- The client already has an existing system for online hotel bookings. But the existing system doesn’t have a clear and continuous business flow, which increases the complexity for clients to book a room.
- The existing system cannot satisfy client’s needs to facilitate marketing as the backend support system cannot generate the report for each promotion channels separately.
Solutions
- Youda Technology researched the business of hotel booking and straightened out the relationships of each different role in the system. We also researched the existing system based on the codes and some introduction materials from client.
- Youda Technology rationalized the whole hotel reservation flow to simplify the flow of booking a hotel room online. Guest can make a reservation, reschedule a reservation and cancel a reservation easily.
- Youda Technology adopted the agile philosophy in the software development cycle. After meetings and discussions with client, we prioritized our work and divided the whole development into several small releases. Each release consists of 5 two-week scrums. We satisfied client’s needs to enhance the existing promotion system and adapt to marketing changes easily.
- Youda Technology proposed solutions to our client to enhance the performance and decrease the response time of the system. We provided professional UX team as well to beautify the user interface of the system to impress the guests.
- Youda Technology has an expertized onsite team to work at client site as a bridge between client and the offshore team. The onsite team communicates with client frequently to collect client’s questions and feedback of the system so we can incorporate client’s changes and respond to client quickly.
