Our client is a foreign invested company with meter production in China. The client is the leading player in the energy metering business in China, constantly supporting the governmental efforts to meet the highest economic and ecological requirements of an energy-saving society.

Business Need

The Installation Location Selection System is designed to automatically run a check against all the data collected by the meter reader at different locations and pick out the locations with best coverage rate at lowest cost. The system should also allow user to check the coverage rate of a reader at different test locations and also provide a report to facilitate user’s further decision making.

Challenges

Youda Technology identify the challenges of the projects as follows:

• Dependent on the size of the actual area where meter reader needs to be installed, we may have hundreds of data files at different test locations. The system need to run against all those data and responds quickly.
• We need to develop a visual diagram to present user the actual coverage of the reader at the selected installation locations. We need to display different colors to represent the different cases of coverage.
• We need to support various configurations of different filters to allow user filtering out some kind of data.
• Youda Technology need to deliver the products in a very short period to satisfy client’s business needs.
• Youda Technology has to create lots of testing files in order to thoroughly test different functionalities of the system.
